Piano Music for Ballet

Michael J Park is a vibrant pianist and composer who uses music to help people better connect to the world around them. For over twenty years, Michael has supported dancers in schools and companies across Canada, including the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers, Ballet BC, and Simon Fraser University. With a truly unique insight into how music can go beyond our expectations, Michael is sought-after by dancers for his versatility and fluency in classical improvisation, creating custom pieces for the exercises of a traditional ballet class. He is also known for his innovative projects outside the studio, including an interactive opera about diabetes, the whimsical Bouncy Castle Organ Extravaganza, and a TED Talk described as "moving, haunting, and an amazing translation of [Alzheimer's] disease."
